Designed and Developed a firewall system for Progressive Data Systems. The firewall is being used in production environments, such as universities and large-scale networks, throughout the United States. The initial product was a command line driven Linux based firewall. It was my job to make it user friendly by writing a web based user interface for the product. This project required me to completely rebuild the firewall from the ground up to fork a Linux distribution, and learn an insane amount of information about linux services. I wrote procedures for Squid Proxy, DNS, Firewall, packet sniffing, DHCP server, traffic monitoring, TCP/IP configuration, and more.
